A gifted young creator whose career took a hard detour — and who rebuilt it into a starting role in Milwaukee.
A Seattle native who lost his father at four, KPJ was Washington Mr. Basketball, a one-and-done at USC, and the 30th pick in 2019.
He flashed rare talent — the youngest ever with a 50-point, 10-assist game (2021) — before a 2023 arrest interrupted his career; he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor in January 2024.
He rebuilt through Greece and the Clippers, then was traded to Milwaukee in 2025.
In 2025-26 he started and averaged 17.4 points and 7.4 assists before a knee injury ended his season.
