A Flint kid who used basketball as a safe haven — and became a champion, a 20-point scorer, and an NBA style icon.
Raised in Flint by his mother, a former shot-put champion, Kuzma starred at Utah and was drafted 27th in 2017 (Brooklyn, traded to the Lakers).
He won the 2020 title with the Lakers, then became a 20-point scorer in Washington.
A four-team trade sent him to Milwaukee in February 2025 (with Khris Middleton going to Washington).
In 2025-26 he provided scoring and size — 13.0 a game — amid the franchise's Giannis-driven reshaping.
