A reclassified teenager who became a double-double machine — and, at 22, an All-Star anchoring a 60-win team.
Born in Sharon Hill, PA and raised in Delaware, Duren starred at Montverde, reclassified to reach Memphis a year early, and was drafted 13th in 2022 (routed to Detroit).
He opened with a 14-10 debut and grew into one of the league's best young rebounders.
In 2025-26 he broke out: 19.5/10.5 on 65%, four straight 25-and-10 games — first Piston to do it since Bob McAdoo in 1980 — and a first All-Star nod.
He's the rim-running, lob-catching anchor of Detroit's 60-win turnaround alongside Cade Cunningham.
